Our Story

EquiMatch was the brainchild of Jess Land. Jess has run Jess Land Equestrian since 2013, and has developed a name for herself selling on behalf; schooling sport horses; re-homing off-the-track thoroughbreds and more recently training race horses. Jess wanted to develop a site that made listing horses for sale easy and affordable.

From this idea EquiMatch has been developed with the idea of it becoming a one-stop platform for all things equestrian. On the site you can list and search for horses for sale; search equestrian businesses; list and search for equestrian related items in the Marketplace; record all your own horses’ details in EquiManage and so much more.

EquiMatch has evolved with the involvement, input and feedback of many people. We are constantly evolving and adding new features based on feedback. If you have any feedback or ideas please contact us at contact@equimatch.co.nz. Our dream is to also give back to the equestrian community. We are currently doing this by sponsoring events across all equestrian disciplines, as well as sponsoring many local and individual events we are also proud to be a National sponsor for Dressage and Show Hunter.

How do I list a horse on the site?

To list a single horse for sale you will need to sign up for a subscription at just $25 a year. This includes the ability to list one horse. If you want to sell multiple horses, you will need to purchase a suitable package to cover the number of horses you want to list in a year. Click here to list your horse.

No, you will need to become a subscriber. Subscriptions last for 12 months and cost only $25. Your subscription allows you to list one horse (additional packages are available) as well as access lots of additional benefits. Click here to subscribe.
Yes, you can change your horse listing once it has been published, however, all changes need to be approved by an administrator.
You can add more photos and videos once your listing has been created. You can add as many photos as you want as long as the total size does not exceed 80MB. The videos are added via a Youtube link, so you can add as many as you want. For instructions on how to do this have a look at our video help blog.
Yes, you can change the videos / photos but all changes will need to be approved by an administrator.
The more horses you list the cheaper it becomes. We have multiple packages available. Click here to upgrade your current package.
Can I list my business in more than one directory category?
You can list your business in as many categories as you like. You can edit your listing by going to My Listings on your account.
In order to list in our directory, you will need to subscribe to our site. Subscriptions are $25 and lasts a year. As part of your subscription you can list one business (or horse). If you wish to do both you want to list more than one business you can purchase additional listing packages by going to List a Business.
There are professionals around who do Sales on Behalf or can help you with your listing. You can find professionals in your area by searching for Sale on Behalf in the Directory. Prices and commission charged vary.

If you are struggling with your new horse, it is always advisable to get help. There is a list of coaches/trainers listed under this section in the directory.
Your listings last until the horse is sold. Once the horse is sold you will need to cancel the listing manually to let others know it is no longer for sale. If you want to list a new horse for sale, you will need to start a new listing. If you need to upgrade your account, you can do so by clicking here.
What is EquiManage?
EquiManage is a new feature that allows you to record your own horse’s details. You can record vet, farrier, dentist etc. visits, as well as feed regimes, treatments given, work done / training and your results. You can also store contact details for your farrier, vet, trainer etc. and request visits straight from the programme. A calendar allows you to keep track of all upcoming / past visits.

At $25 a subscription to EquiMatch will allow you to join the biggest growing Equestrian community in New Zealand. EquiMatch was the brainchild of Jess Land of Jess Land Equestrian fame. Jess has been in the Equestrian business for over 10 years and specialises in sale on behalf of horses and was looking for a platform to easily advertise horses for sale as well as having a one-stop site for everything she needed. The site however, wouldn’t have come to fruition without the help and support of family and friends, as well as lots of new ideas and feedback along the way.
