Beautiful Unicorn
-Dalia
We are proud to offer this beautiful unicorn youngster for Sale On Behalf.
Dalia is a one-year-old Warmblood X filly with great future potential, who would excel in any of the main disciplines (Dressage, Showjumping, Eventing, Show Hunter, Showing).
The owner has specifically aimed her breeding for Dressage and this shows through in her floating trot and rhythmic canter.
Dalia is out of a Palomino mare, Lulu D’Amour SSH (unregistered WBX mare /Vollrath Lessing) who was owned by the owner herself.
The sire is the magnificent DiMaggio Black (licensed Oldenburg stallion) who comes from a strong dressage lineage; bred & stands in Germany.

This filly will certainly excel and will also stand out in the show ring with a strong contrast of her flaxen mane on chestnut appearance, topped with a blaze and two white socks (hind legs). She has a lovely confirmation with strong feet and a nice temperament.
This will also make her a good choice for future breeding!
*Please note she is currently going through the registration process with NZWB (New Zealand Warmblood Association)
Estimated Height: 16.2 /16.3hh (Dam: 17hh / Sire: 16.2hh)

Heigh Up Keep ‘Gracie’
15.2hh
15 year old // NZ Thoroughbred out of Keeper (Aus)
It has come time to find my best friend her new best friend as I start to want to move up the heights. Gracie has been my best friend and the horse of my dreams for 3 years but as she grows older I have made the tough decision for her to start slowing down and have a quieter life! If you are or know of a competent kid or an adult wanting a horse to have fun on that is SAFE!!! to do some low level stuff she is your girl!
Gracie is my second horse and she was one of many that I trialled but she was the only one that truly stood out and stuck! We’ve done many shows these past 3 years but recently i’ve found she has not enjoyed it as much as she used to! She’d be perfect for a kid coming off ponies or an adult returning to riding. I’ve had a range of levels and ages on her the youngest being a little 5 year old and she was foot perfect the whole time, I get on her bareback in crocs and shorts and she has never had any problems, she is brave, easy to hack out in company or alone and loves to be the leader of the pack, she is happy to be paddocked alone or with others, super easy to take out of the paddock alone and doesn’t mind being left by herself either as long as she can see another horse!
no bolt/rear/buck and good for farrier/clipping ect.
I have had the pleasure of producing Smooch over the past two years. She started her career late, as after being broken in, she had time off to have a lovely filly foal. She is a stunning, kind mare that’s super easy to have around. Last season Smooch went out to some horse trials winning her first one and continuing to score over 75% In the dressage each time. She has been carefully produced right from the beginning. Smooch turns heads wherever she goes, there are always comments on how stunning she is and is commonly labelled as “looking like a super model”. She has proved how well she would fit in a show ring late last year winning champions at her first two A&P shows she went to. She went to Clevedon to compete in her first A&P Show and she won nearly all of her classes including two champion sashes in the Riding Horse category.
Smooch has a lovely jump technique and is currently schooling 90 - 1m with lots of potential to jump bigger. Smooch is ready to get out and about with somone and have some fun.
Smooch is great to hack out, loves going to the beach and forest. Jumps over all the logs I point her at in the forest and then goes onto the buckle or often just use no reins and she hacks along nicely. She self loads into the float and trucks well, good to shoe, have away at shows and just super easy on the ground. She is a very special horse and has quickly become apart of our family. She will only go to the best of homes and price will be negotiable in this instance.

6yr old 14.1 hh (current HC 144.5) quality young pony, WB x RP
Romeo is a beautiful pony with great confirmation. He is a fantastic mover and has a super jump on him.
He is well educated for a young pony with solid flat work and jump techniques established. He tries really hard to please in any situation.
He jumps anything, doesn’t get worried about fillers etc. Loves hacking out too, good to ride in front or back.
He has been to a couple of dressage and jumping days with lots of compliments from judges and has done some cross country with no issues at all. He has competed at Level 1 dressage and 80cm show jumping. He easy to take to shows.
We would love to see him go to a knowledgeable home to further his education. He loves having a job to do and being kept busy.
He does need clear boundaries on the ground as he occasionally gets a bit overwhelmed with lots of other horses around. He is super easy to be pampered, washed, great for the farrier etc. and floats or trucks with no issues
Serious inquiries only
Larry is a super fun chap that has competed to 1m Show Jumping and is a cool and versatile dude!
In his time with us we have had him on a XC schooling outing, a Hunt, ridden him bareback, jumped him with a range or riders and had a heap of fun with him. He has a decent engine so not for a real nervous nellie but a really cool genuine sort for someone wanting to get out and have a good time.
Jack is a fun wee dude that is going to have a heap to offer his new home as he continues to gain mileage and confidence under saddle. He has mainly hacked out since being broken in and has started more schooling and arena work since arriving to us to be sold on behalf.
He can be tense under saddle at times especially at walk and trot, at canter he's actually been very happy and confident in his work and the rest is improving with consistency. He moves well and seems to enjoy learning and doing new things just needs his next rider to continue giving him time and confidence in his job!
Skittles is a kind and genuine young pony with the looks to match. She is showing a lot of potential to be successful at multiple disciplines. Skittles is a dream on the ground, loads well, great for the farrier (barefoot), very safe and respectful of space and overall easy to deal with in every way. We see skittles excelling as a pleasure pony or in show hunter as she has a very quiet demeanor. She has been out to a local ribbon day and behaved foot perfect winning champion. We hope to find skittles a home where she can flourish into a fun and competitive allrounder.
Although skittles has no dirt (buck, rear, bolt) she is still a young pony so requires an experienced home to get the best out of her.

Mount Walk trot canter jump included
Update getting out hacking and loving it. Long rein, not spooky and no jog!
Really nice guy alert
Bear, 16.2 (guesstimate) 5yo Standardbred gelding
Bear is one my favourites to walk through the gate.
He is an absolute Labrador, a yes man, wears his heart on his sleeve!
While he has just recently been started, bear has taken to being ridden like he’s done it every single day of his life. Is very intelligent and picks up everything quickly.
He has elasticity throughout his body, soft mouth & nice paces and starting to work in a contact. Bear has an amazing canter, the best standardbred canter I’ve ever ridden ( & I’ve ridden a lot of Standardbreds!!!)
He has been out on a wee walk around out side the arena and as to be expected he was a gentleman.
In full work and we are doing more with him daily.
His feet are in good shape & good for the farrier, bear is ALWAYS ready to be caught, bottom of the pecking order, stands tied perfect and is not girthy. Loves being groomed and patted, any attention is good attention if you’re bear!!
Is still letting down from being race fit, but he will look amazing in the future.
I’d love to see him go to a home who’s going to showcase him and how special he is. They don’t come up as cool as this guy very often!
(As a standardbred rehomer I’m allowed to say that!!)

We are in Southland,
Reluctantly looking for new home due to no fault of his own (Young family so not much spare time to do him justice)
Bay TB gelding, 10 years old, 16.2hh ish (Can measure)
Smarty is a laid back chap, who loves to please. He’s show jumped up to 80cm and done show hunter at the same height. Schooled some 90cm at home, has a nice jump with potential to go higher easily. Good for farrier, have his teeth done, to float, truck etc. He is establishing working in a frame and is picking it up it just hasn’t been my focus.
Home is very important, he’s a lovely horse and I want him to find the right person that is experienced and kind that can bring out his full potential. No dirt and is certainly more whoa than go but can have TB moments but just needs more mileage and consistency. He adores attention and wants to be best friends.

🌟 Pinto Mare – Arya 🌟
Sire: Token Romance (by Pintado Desperado - jumping lines)
Dam: Holly (QHxArab crossbred mare by Pelorus Zahav Kamara aka Herbie and out of Tosca)
Looking for a brave, talented, and versatile partner? Arya is a 4.5-year-old, 15hh, athletic pinto mare with a solid horsemanship foundation, a great mind, and POTENTIAL!
Arya is a fit young horse who hasn’t missed any steps in her early education and has a bright future ahead. Arya was started under saddle in late spring 2024, after receiving a thorough groundwork foundation. Since then, we’ve exposed her to a variety of environments and also given her little breaks in between training blocks to process what she’s learned. She’s a beautifully put-together mare and always catches people’s eye, but more importantly, she’s smart, curious, and keen to learn.
Credit to Karen Schafer, who bred and raised her, giving her a great start to life and by choosing a great sire and dam, both known for their great temperament and athleticism (jumping lines).
✅ Professional Start & Quality Training
Arya has great ground manners and has received quality handling. She’s been trained with softness, clear communication, and trust as key principles. She’s light, responsive, and listens well to your seat, intention, and cues. Soft snaffle mouth. She has plenty of life and a great walk but is always respectful and can be ridden on a loose rein. She adjusts easily to her rider’s energy—moving forward when asked but coming back down just as easily. She’s done a variety of exercises on the ground and under saddle, including:
* United circles, small serpentines, and weaving at the trot
* Changing eyes exercises
* Bending/flexing, engaging the hindquarters
* Backing up with a soft feel, backs circles on the ground
* Separating the hindquarters from the front and starting to learn a little turnaround
* Roping front and hind feet
* Used to flags, ropes, tarps, and you can throw a lasso off her and drag a log
* Picks you up from a fence, bank, or mounting block and parks you again after the ride
✅ Proven in Many Environments
Arya has been ridden in the round pen and the arena as well as on farms and stations, through forests, bush-bashed on rugged trails, on roads, across rocky riverbeds, up and down hills, and through rivers and creeks. She recently spent a month with us and three other horses on a backcountry expedition, where we spent 24/7 with them. I have also led a packhorse off her in the backcountry, where she proved to be a great role model. She’s great with vehicles, motorbikes, and bicycles, and used to stock as well as wild pigs.
✅ Outstanding Nature & Brave Attitude
Arya is incredibly mature for her age and not much fazes her. She has a chilled, no-fuss mind, making her a reliable and fun partner. She’s not herd-bound or prone to separation anxiety and will ride out alone. She’s genuine, honest, and has no rear, buck, or bolt. Even after some time off, she’s very easy to bring back into work.
✅ Well-Handled and Looked-After & Easy to Manage
* Ties well, stands still for grooming, tacking up, and mounting
* Good for the farrier (trimmed regularly, has good hooves, has been hot shod once for backcountry terrain (and did great) but has mostly been kept barefoot and goes well in hoof boots)
* Great to worm, brush, cover, and bathe
* Tethers, hobbles, and high-lines * Floats well and travels easily (alone or with others; was trucked in the past and did well)
* Good with other horses
* Gets regular minerals and hard feed
* Good teeth, done by Julian from Keelah Vets in mid 2024
* 6-panel negative, healthy, sound, and well put together; vet check welcome
✅ Versatile
Arya has been ridden in both Western and English saddles. She’s not specifically trained in either discipline, but her solid horsemanship foundation makes her incredibly versatile and opens the door to a variety of disciplines. I believe she’ll enjoy jumping, endurance, trail riding/trekking, cross country, western disciplines, working equitation, cowboy challenge, stock work and more! While she hasn’t jumped under saddle yet due to her age, she is now ready to begin. She has popped over a few jumps in-hand, enjoyed it, and showed willingness.
🏡 Her ideal home would be where she gets variety, keeps developing her skills and softness, and gets out and about. She’s suited for an intermediate to experienced rider with soft hands who understands young horses and knows when and how to give them a release. She would make a great horse for anyone looking for a talented and fun partner.
🔥 Arya is a quality mare with a fantastic mind, a great “let’s do it” attitude, and serious potential for competition and adventure.
🌟 Whoever gets this mare is extremely lucky – she’s truly one of a kind. 🌟

'Silent Wings' Dressage/Showing/Hacking Schoolmaster. 15yr old 157cm TB by Dansk.
Sting is beautifully put together with gorgeous free movement and gets compliments everywhere he goes! Great to hack, not spooky, easy to handle, enjoys having a job and being around people. Well schooled on the flat and a pleasure to ride. Not clingy to other horses and loves going on the float for adventures!
He's previously won Novice and Open Park Hack Championships as well as Supreme Horse at the New Zealand Riding Pony Society show 2018 and he also won Champion Novice Park Hack at Canterbury A&P show the same year. He has also done some low level dressage with good results and has a lot of potential in this area.
Recently competed at Rai Valley A&P show after only being in work for a week and went Reserve Champion Novice and Open Park Hack with excellent comments from the judge.
He can jump however this hasn't been the focus for his current rider.
Sting does get grass affected so he needs his diet managed, and he is girthy so isn't suited to a nervous or beginner rider.
Up to date on teeth/worming/bodywork, has been xrayed (these showed no issues and available if requested), currently has front shoes on, is in work and ready to go!
He's a capable fun horse for a confident teenager or adult wanting to compete and hack.
Sadly he's not quite the right fit for his current rider so he is looking for a new home.
Sioux is the loveliest horse to have around and such a fun horse to ride! She has jumped up to 1.25m SJ and would be a fantastic JR or AR horse not only because of her ability but her fabulous nature! She is an easy horse to get together and establish a good jumping canter on so don’t be put off by her size! She is a careful jumper without jumping her rider out of the saddle. A really genuine mare!
Nicely flat schooled and well in tune with your aids. Can get strong at times when jumping but never hot or silly. Has lightly XC schooled. Could make a lovely horse for someone wanting to dabble in a bit of everything as she would fit nicely into the SH ring also.
Sioux is the easiest horse to hack, truck, float, shoe, paddock and work with on a day to day basis. No buck, rear, bolt or dirt of any kind.
Sioux has been loved by her current family for 3 years where she was the first SJ mount for a junior rider and attended Nga Tawa. Only for sale due to rider starting an apprenticeship.
Fit and ready to go!
Lots of videos available. Located Taupo at Brea Walker Eventing.
Happy hacker!
Jesse has been a loved member of the family since he was 3. I don't have the time or space for him anymore. So really need to find him a new loving home!
He's been out of work for over 2 years now and has become a paddock ornament. This is such a shame because, with the right person, he could do some pretty awesome things.
In his prime, he was a fabulous dressage pony and was pretty successful at it. I do feel now he would be best suited as a happy hacker. He enjoys the forest and has done well as a "Dad Pony" for some challenging treks.
He needs a family who is willing to put in the work with him as he can be a bit challenging sometimes. He knows how to self-load onto the float but can test boundaries with new people when handling. He has definitely matured with age and this is not as much of a problem anymore but he is not suited for an inexperienced family.
For Sale on Behalf
Asta is a smart young horse with good basics now ready to go forward with his career in whatever discipline his new rider wants.
We have done a bit of everything with Asta in the last 6 months- he has SJ to 1m (schooling 1.10m at home), RTR with placings at A&P shows, Show Hunter with placings, He has had one eventing start at twilight eventing 80cm with 70% in the dressage and stormed round the cross country. He is very brave, will jump anything and has loved the cross country schooling we have done with him.
We have hacked him including up hills and at the beach in small groups and I think he could be a great trekking or hunting horse with milage.
Very nice to ride on the flat with good buttons.
Asta has a great career ahead of him with a competent rider to continue his education- I think he would love a home where he gets to do a bit of everything, he thrives off variety.
Gorgeous Bellario rising three year old gelding. EMH 15.3hh - 16hh with an exceptional temperament who has received appropriate vet, feeding and farrier treatment since birth. Leads, ties, boxes and happily loads on a truck or float and travels really well. This boy was bred for dressage - however he has shown awesome ability, confidence and desire for jumping - frequently jumping out of his paddock when it suits him. I would happily have kept him and started him myself but due to my current competition horse being retired early, I need to sell this boy to fund my next competitive mount. He has such an amazing temperament and unflappable nature I think he could be perfect for an amateur or with his talent and breeding a competitive all round mount for the future.
Outstanding YEARLING FILLY estimated to mature about 15.2 hh.
Purpose bred to be a super all round fun horse. Suit harness, jumping, versatile performer.
Sire, John Brodie (14.2hh) is renown for leaving brilliant natural.jumpers and versatile horses and ponies.
Dam, The Blacklist (16.1 hh HC) is currently competing and earning herself quite a following as a regular show winner, winner of open intro dressage, second in her only 10km CTR. Has a big natural jump also. Very good mover and trainable easy mare which is why I bred this pinto foal.
The Diva has been fully cared for since birth, everything done correctly, handled well, leads, ties, loads easily on truck. Microchipped, vaccinated, regular farrier care and worming. Nothing has been overlooked in raising this lovely filly. Needs a sensible horse person who understands the need for boundaries, as she is very self confident and bold, which is why I think she'll make a superb competition horse and harness horses in time.
Only sadly selling as numbers must be kept under control in my small horse breeding hobby. The best one to let go as she is potentially the most versatile. Heaps more videos and photos available on request.

Been at RDA since 03/04/2019 (Just over 5 years)
Dallas came to Hutt Valley RDA as a youngster and we bought her in to the program after about three months. Initially Dallas did well however she found it hard to cope with the environment so we decided to give her twelve months off. We had one of our exercise riders take her to shows and just generally mucked around on her to give her time to mature. After the twelve months we reintroduced her back in to the program and she did well for12 months but then became agitated and displaying distress again. One of our exercise riders – shown in the picture above – was very keen on Dallas and asked if she could lease to buy. We agreed on this however due to personal circumstances this did not eventuate. We then turned Dallas out for another 3-4 months as she was growing – she went from 14.1 to 15-1 in this time. Dallas has now been bought back in to work and is ready to go on the market.
Dallas is a very cool horse and we will be sad to see her go however she has let us know that the RDA environment is not suited for her. She is a 1:1 horse and gets very attached to people. She is a kind and gentle soul and the busyness of RDA is not to her liking.
She has lovely paces and a good jump on her. Whatever discipline you decide on Dallas will give 100%. Dallas will not be sold sight unseen.
