Scott has been handling and starting horses full-time for the public for over 20 years and is currently competing his own horse at Advanced (Level 6) dressage. Scott is an experienced coach/teacher and is passionate about sharing his experience and knowledge with other riders. His teaching style is positive and encouraging, while motivating and supporting people to step out of their comfort zone when necessary to achieve their goals and build their confidence - both in and outside of the arena.
Scott specialises in not only setting up the foundation of horses through handling/starting undersaddle, but also in assisting riders to build on their horse's foundation to where the horses are set up, ready to get out and about and/or be competition ready. He is also able to guide riders through resolving problems which may have arisen (such as rearing, no 'go' button, kicking out/bucking, etc).
Scott is immensely passionate about developing horses that are light, responsive and confident - making them enjoyable to handle and ride and able to perform at their best. He offers coaching for riders of all levels and backgrounds who want to improve their riding and their relationship with their horse - taking their understanding of their horse to the next level and having fun along the way!
