Rising 6 year old QHxPaint, 15-15.1 approx - Kamala (Smokin’ Hot Miss)
Smokin’ Hot Dude x Silverado Miss Exclusive
Kamala is a stocky grulla/dun pinto with one blue eye. Due to her colouring, she requires a little extra care to protect her from the sun. She will come with what I have left of the products she uses to get you started.
I started Kamala early February 2023 myself, and since then, she has had a varied and fun education. She has been to pony club open days, barrel racing jackpots, cross country schooling, the beach, river and forest, to an in hand show, and to a pony camp in hand before she was broken in.
She is currently barefoot and happy but would benefit from boots if you ride on hard/stony ground often. She is awesome for the farrier and has been hot shod before without issue. My ideal new home for her would be someone wanting a fun and easy young horse to get out and enjoy with and not over face her. All of the basics are established, she has a lovely jump, and loads of potential, but also loves just hacking out. She has minimal flatwork but has potential in this area. She is great in company or alone and doesn’t have much separation anxiety when left alone, or getting taken away from others.
Loads and travels well. She stands quietly at the float and is uncomplicated to ride and handle. I would trust her around young kids, and my non horsey parents handle her on the occasion with confidence. She has been on many outings, to pony camp, a barrels and pole bending open day, an in hand show, cross country training, and many pony club open days.
Will not sell site unseen, or without references. Contact me on 0224758202, or message my Facebook page Mercury Equine for more info/to arrange a viewing.

11 year old Thoroughbred gelding
16hh
DOB: 8th November 2012
I have owned Wilson for almost 2 years and in that time we have mostly done hacking and flatwork. He is fine to hack out alone or in company, although he definitely is better when with company. When alone he will jig jog but it's nothing nasty. His flatwork is lovely and smooth. He does sometimes try to stay next to the horses paddocked next to the riding paddock but this has never been an issue when he's in regular work. In one of his previous homes he did some jumping, and at his home before me he did some dressage outings where he placed in the mid 60’s while only in semiwork. Jump photo and dressage photo are from previous homes.
Wilson is good at lunging. He is better on his right side. I find it difficult to get him to lunge on his left side but I think that's a personal weakness and nothing to do with Wilson. I have spent the winter lunging him.
He is good to handle on the ground and will usually come straight over to you for catching unless he is in a large paddock then he can be difficult to catch. Wilson stays behind tape whether it's on or not. He is best kept paddocked with another horse for company, however I have also kept him on his own- but in view of other horses- and he is fine, he will just pace a bit. I have not seen Wilson cribbing or windsucking in the time I’ve owned him. He is good to groom but he does sometimes kick out with his back legs when picking his back hooves although he is getting better. He is currently barefoot and has been the whole time I’ve owned him. He does sometimes wriggle around for the farrier but that's getting better the more we work with him.
His feet were last trimmed 3rd September 2024 and his teeth were done 16th November 2023.
Floating will need work, he hasn’t been in one for the time I’ve had him. I have occasionally done some training with him but lack of access to a float has made this difficult. I think he would be better on an angle loader. He trucks perfectly fine, just a bit slow to get on.
Wilson would thrive in a home where he has his own person and gets to be in regular work. He absolutely loves having a job to do and a change in circumstances means I can no longer give him the time he deserves. I think Wilson would be better suited as a second horse for someone and would require a confident rider.
He will come with his winter rug, rain sheet, bridle and some halters/leadropes.
Doofy
15.2hh 7yo standardbred gelding.
Recently broken to saddle taken to it well, called Doofy for a reason, he’s a bit of a doofus!
Comes from one trainer who’s had him his whole life & says he’s always been a bit of a slow “doofus”!
He isn’t hard to out smart, you tell him to do it and he will.
Doofy is made up from the “spare parts box” he has a head a draft horse would be jealous of & will not be winning any horse of the year showing titles any time soon. HOWEVER - what he lacks in looks he makes up for in his quiet, biddable nature. Stands to be brushed, washed scratched etc. Excellent to catch cover and tack up.
Doofy has done a couple of injuries as a young horse but these have healed up & he has since raced and injures have not caused him any dramas. He was retired as he was too slow & honestly I’m surprised he ever won a race as he really is very slow!
Unfortunately Doofy only paces, I’ve managed to find trot a couple of times but it’s not easy to locate. Because of this and his somewhat unfortunate looks we believe he would be best suited to a farm hack/station horse. He may be a wonderful trekking horse too.
Stands well when out around the farm.
Arrived in light/poor condition has already gained a lot of weight, in another couple of months he will be unrecognisable.
Free to the right home who will continue to give him a great education.

Glen Cree Acclaim (Faith)
Sire: GLEN CREE SILIQUE
Dam: GLEN CREE MERIT
12yrs old mare 13.2hh english Riding Pony
Unfortunately due to no fault of her own Faith is now for sale. Faith is a fun jumping pony with a lovely kind nature and a lot of scope! In the last 18 months she has taken her rider from being nervous jumping, to rounds of 80cm at home. Sadly rider has now outgrown her and it is now time for faith to find a new home.
Faith is great to float, clip and catch. She has been to pony club, beach, multiple different riding schools and 5 shows with her current owners.
Faith has competed up to 75cm and I strongly believe she could go higher with more muscle and the right rider. She truely is a point and shoot type of pony, she has NEVER stopped at a jump and doesn’t care about fillers. Would make a good show hunter pony.
Faith is in good health, has just had her teeth done. She has been brought back into work after a 6 month break & going well, she just needs to build a bit more muscle to be optimum. Pretty good with farrier and dentist.
Faith is more suited as a 2nd/3rd pony for an experienced home & a gutsy kid. She is very forward moving & can be spooky and stroppy in new places so needs a rider who can ride her through this. Not 'dirty' with no rear but can sometimes throw an excited buck. Faith is truely a lovely fun pony and someone will be very lucky to have her.
$5000
Comes with bridle, brushing boots & covers. Saddle for extra $$

Yearling colt (born 25/11/23) by Kingslea True Fluke (Magic Fluke x Voltaire II) out of Arohanui (Anamour x Distelfink) - a well-produced PSG mare ready for GP before injury retired her to the broodmare paddock. Jacs will be a big lad (string test measures approximately 176cm, and is black with a star and two socks.
Jacs has a super nature, beautiful movement and a sane mind and temperament. Has been raised well (in a mixed herd from a week old, and in a boys herd post/weaning), weaned slowly and fed correctly. He is a lovely lad who is phased by very little.
Due to huge time constraints, Jacs is very minimally handled, however due to his socialising this will not be an issue. He currently has his feet handled in the paddock without being tied, and understands a very basic concept of pressure. Upon leaving he will be leading properly - this is as far as his owner is able to invest but we have no doubt that he will be very easy for someone to finesse.
Upon sale Jacs will be registered with NZWA.
Jacs does unfortunately appear to be turning in front. This will not be correctable with intensive hoof work, as is a conformational issue from his knees down. Jacs is priced with above details in mind, and the importance of a perfect home the biggest priority. Only available to a home experienced with youngsters. Can be gelded here prior to departure at buyer’s expense.
