PRICE DROP due to me not having the time to ride her and will be getting wasted in the paddock.
Lola has evented to 1.05m and 1.10m show jumping. She is very bold on xc and a hot ride when jumping. Can sometimes have an ambling gait when she gets a bit too excited and can get tense in her dressage tests but will always go double clear.
If you have a clear SJ round Lola will always be in the placings. She has had multiple placings and even a couple 1st places at the PC SISJC over the years.
Lola has a lovely nature with great ground manners (no dirt). She can go long periods without being ridden and be the same first ride back.
She’s good for the farrier, dentist and self loads floats/trucks. Good to hack alone or in a group. Very good doer and will be the dominant one. She would best suit a confident rider with softs hands who is used to a hot ride, and wanting to get out and compete.
Lola has been in our family for 6 years so this is a very hard sale and it will be sad to see her go, but would love to see her out and being enjoyed by another rider.
Barney is a lovely looking colt with his bling, he's by the lovely Brigham and has his sires temperament. His Dam Betty was a lovely mare to work with. Barney is a confident guy, he knows how to lead, tie, be trimmed and be caught. He's gonna be an awesome best friend type, quick to learn.
Viewings welcome
Rip is lovely to look at with his bling, Rip is by Brigham who is known for leaving good temperaments, his Dam is a Throughbred who has a good nature also.
Rip is good to lead, tie, cover and has had all his baby education.
Rip is a little bit shy with new people, but warms up quick, I can see him being an all-rounder in the future
Viewings welcome
Dobby is a lovely looking colt with a bright future ahead, he's by the lovely Brigham who has the most amazing temperament and gives this to his youngstock. Dobbys dam is a Throughbred mare who was very easy to work with
Dobby has learnt how to lead, tie, wear a cover and be caught. So all the baby education has been done. I think he will make 16 to 16'1hh and I think he will turn his hoof to whatever you desire
Viewings welcome
Puddle is a lovely looking colt, and one to stash away in the paddock for the future. He's sire is Brigham who is well known for leaving a lovely temperament. His Dam Trippy (thoroughbred) also has a stunning temperament and is very easy to work with.
Puddle is good to trim, lead, cover and ties up so all the basic baby education.
Viewings welcome.
Bee, 6yo, 162cm clydie cross gelding.
Bee is a gorgeous young horse, on the ground you can not fault him. Not clingy to other horses, doesn’t pull back, dance, neigh etc. No girthy behaviour and easy to catch, float and truck.
Bee was very lightly broken in around 3 years old and has been in work on and off ever since. Has attended dressage days and small shows.
As a 4 year old he did a season hunting (gates) he was still entire, and had perfect manners. Excellent on the hunt field. Wasn’t hot, didn’t mind where he was in the field or who was riding him.
He was gelded as a 4year old and only ever served two mares. He has NO colty/stallion behaviour other than making stud piles in the paddock (I’d say that’s a win).
Now Bee is being ridden by teens as young as 14years old. While he is incredibly quiet he isn’t a beginners/ novice horse yet as he does need more schooling to keep him “forward”.
Bee gets both leads correctly, schools nicely in a contact, good transitions, starting leg yield, shoulder in etc. He is “more woah than go” however if ridden forward he will maintain the speed he is asked to go. Flys over any jump infront of him, regardless of what it is or the distance he has. With a couple of seasons under his belt he will be the perfect point and shoot type. Happy to hack out through mud/puddles.
Bee is testing the waters and has had a couple of bucks with his owners, we haven’t seen it here we would like to disclose that he isn’t completely fool proof yet. We believe this is just young horse behaviour & that he is ready to step up and do some hard work/wet saddle blanket work and I’m sure he’ll be an absolute once in a lifetime horse.
Confident, experienced riders only please. He will be a husbands horse in a year or two just not yet!
Will go in any direction you wish. Could see him on the cavalcade or low level eventing. He will do it all.
Vetted as a 2.5yo - full report available. Open to new vettings. Please call for more information.
Patrick is a brown yearling irish sport horse colt.
By Derrynasagurt Silver, out of 'Timia' (Tina) an upstanding TB mare by Tivaci.
Patrick was october born so is 12 months old now. He is straight, correct, and very clever. He will mature 16.2hh plus, and is built to be an athlete. He has had the best start to life with regular drenching, hard feeding and two weeks professional handling with Nye Harbourne at Rafter H Horsemanship. He has floated several times and travels well.
He is not yet gelded but is booked in for this.
I bred Patrick to be my future hunter and saddle hunter, but change in circumstances means I have too many horses and someone has to go. He will undoubtedly turn his hand to anything in the future.
My loss is someone else's gain. Delivery negotiable including to the lower north island later in the year. More photos available on request (including of mare).
Marty (Fingerprinted) 6yr old 16.1hh tb gelding by Belardo
This guy is awesome, the right amount of sensitivity with a huge desire to please. Would suit a variety of disciplines, tidy enough for showing or dressage and willing enough for jumping. He can be a cheeky boy but no dirt, more like the class clown trying to impress everyone with his latest joke!!
Available to an approved home, where he will be respected for his uniqueness and who will keep in touch with his breeders.
Currently at Driftwood Sport Horses Ltd in Fernside, Canterbury. Video on request or you can find them on my Facebook page under the same name.
Jack Flash
16yo, 16h Black TB
Jack is the ultimate alrounder. He’s always been such a gentleman and a real super cool dude.
Jack attended equidays just three weeks off the track, sold down to Jess Land and then she ended up holding onto him for far longer than planned to because he’s just the coolest guy.
Has evented, hunted, hacked out etc. show hunter would be right up his alley. Ultimate fun Pony Club mount. Straightforward and easy, more woah than go! Very cool out hunting and really enjoyed it but still more woah than go! Very easily see him heading back out to hunt again next season!! I think a pony club first hack or hunting home for this dude
Jacks had a very crusiey life the last five years so still has ‘young legs’! He’d love to still get out and do stuff and i don’t see him slowing down any time soon!
A relatively easy keeper, nothing high maintenance. Can live on grass etc no issues. Trucks and floats well, goes off property and is just the same as at home. Good manners etc. Jack had an accident when he was a young horse and fractured his pelvis. He was given full vet clearance (reports available) and returned to full competition and hunting life with no ongoing lameness or pain.
A very hard sale so only 5* homes need message. Price is neg to the best home.
