Yearling colt (born 25/11/23) by Kingslea True Fluke (Magic Fluke x Voltaire II) out of Arohanui (Anamour x Distelfink) - a well-produced PSG mare ready for GP before injury retired her to the broodmare paddock. Jacs will be a big lad (string test measures approximately 176cm, and is black with a star and two socks.
Jacs has a super nature, beautiful movement and a sane mind and temperament. Has been raised well (in a mixed herd from a week old, and in a boys herd post/weaning), weaned slowly and fed correctly. He is a lovely lad who is phased by very little.
Due to huge time constraints, Jacs is very minimally handled, however due to his socialising this will not be an issue. He currently has his feet handled in the paddock without being tied, and understands a very basic concept of pressure. Upon leaving he will be leading properly - this is as far as his owner is able to invest but we have no doubt that he will be very easy for someone to finesse.
Upon sale Jacs will be registered with NZWA.
Jacs does unfortunately appear to be turning in front. This will not be correctable with intensive hoof work, as is a conformational issue from his knees down. Jacs is priced with above details in mind, and the importance of a perfect home the biggest priority. Only available to a home experienced with youngsters. Can be gelded here prior to departure at buyer’s expense.

Born 24/11/2007.
Demi is a sweet mare, shy at first but once she gets to know you she is friendly.
Hasn't had a lot of handling in her lifetime but straightforward to trim, drench and float. She is good to cover. Stands tied well.
Up to date with her teeth and feet. Currently covered, fed baleage & hard feed. Not a lamintic/metabolic type.
Very happy for you to handle her foal.
Really nice mare has given us and previous owners wonderful foals with excellent trainable nature.
Recently retired from her racing career, Margot has completed her retraining here at Jump Start and is looking for a new home.
She is an above average mover and has let down well.
List of her achievements while with us:
Float trained, happy with or without company.
Working well in the arena with all flat basics. She is confident with contact and balanced on both reins. Canter leads established with a capable rider.
She has jumped solid xc type fences and show jump poles with small courses under her belt. No spook or stop, she is willing, trainable and shows a good temperament. With a knowledgable rider could be produced into a competitive mount.
Clean and correct, happy to hack over the farm and work in the open paddock.
Margot is safe to jump on after a spell and has no nasty behaviour or issues.
She is currently shod in front and after finishing her ridden period enjoying some green grass paddocks and chill out time.
VICES - windsucker.

4yr old 16hh TB mare by Vespa. Retired with a case of the slows, flew through her arrival vet inspection and has ticked off the boxes nicely in her time here so far.
She absolutely loves getting out for a hack, brave as they come for a baby and happily goes round the farm on a loose rein. Picking up the basics on the flat nicely and a quality type that is going to produce some super work with more mileage in this area. She’s getting her head around the jumping, lacking a bit of technique currently but willing to give it a go and should only improve with time.
Viva has been easy to have around, relaxed in the paddock, happily leaves her mates and for her age and stage there’s not really much to fault her on!
7yr old (March born so more like 6 1/2yrs old) 16hh NZ Sport Horse gelding by LV Midge out of Indy (By Colour Me Cool out of a TB mare)
Monte is a homebred gelding and ticks all the boxes for making a super all rounder to be enjoyed across a range of disciplines. He has super soft paces with a lovely rhythm and plenty of quality to them, a tidy SH style jump a gives you a great feel over a fence with plenty of scope. He has lightly competed, attended a twilight event and been on plenty of ridden outings. Loves hacking round the farm, goes round the track alone or in company and has a super soft snaffle mouth.
He has been given plenty of time and is now ready to be enjoyed in his new home I had planned on keeping him but a change in direction towards racing has left me short of time for the sport horses and he’s not getting the attention he deserves here. Monte was a quirky horse to break in and was quite cold backed, very manageable now and not something we see unless he’s had a decent break but because of this and the fact he has a soft mouth I would like to see him go to an experienced home that is with a balanced rider with the basics well established. He has only ever had someone fall off once and that was as a 4yr old while being started so he is by no means dirty or out to get anyone just a touch sensitive. I happily let the teenagers at home ride him without supervision and he’s never a problem.
Monte trucks and floats well, good for the farrier (currently barefoot), up to date with body work and dentist and has been thoroughly checked over by the vets as a youngster to rule out any physical reasons for the behaviour with nothing found. Open to all vetting’s. He has been an incredibly sound horse right through
