9yr old 15.3hh TB gelding by O’Reilly. We had this chap straight off the track and loved him then and he’s just as cool this time round!
He’s been back with us a week now, ticked off schooling, popping round wee courses, hacking and and bareback all like a champ lovely soft mouth on the flat and works nicely - very capable of pulling off a nice dressage test, popping round wee jumps without fuss but does still feel a touch green in this area and has been a gem to hack out!
A very nice all rounder for someone to utilise and enjoy with the bonus of having a bit of mileage under his belt if you don’t want one at that straight off the track stage
Classic is an attractive, athletic young mare with an exciting future ahead of her in eventing or jumping.
Classic goes kindly under saddle and had begun trotting little jumps prior to being turned out. She has the basics established ready for somebody to take the next step and progress with jumping. Hacks out on her own and easy to handle on the ground.
Her half brother (xc photo) started competing last season and looked super in the Young Event Horse class at Taupo. He has now stepped up to 1* with clear xc showing off his bold jumping ability which I certainly expect of Classic too.
She is registered NZWB with DNA verification making her eligible for jumping in 5yo series next season with the new rules.
For sale by breeder who is busy with vet school. Classic is not in ridden work but can be viewed on the lunge and in the stable during semester time.
$15,000 incl GST
Monkey is a super fun and genuine pony who is going to give someone a lot of fun!
She has done a bit of everything from Games to Eventing, PC and even goes in Cart. Happily schooling round 90cm with the odd bigger fence and has plenty of ability to give a PC kid a lot of confidence and enjoyment. Works well on the flat, loves hacking out round the farm and great bareback.
She would suit a range of homes and disciplines and is ready to be enjoyed!
Easyrider - 8yr old 16.1hh Bay TB gelding by Super Easy. Rider has been with us over 18 months now and in that time has been used as a babysitter, helped with breakers, attended a wee ridden show, done plenty of hacking including on quiet roads, happy as bareback, goes kindly on the flat and enjoys popping round the jumps. He isn’t a superstar but a good solid chap for someone to have a lot of fun with. Trucks and floats, good for the farrier and currently barefoot happy as. A nice solid horse to have around. Note he does windsuck.
Connor is a super fun wee chap that is ready to get out and be enjoyed by his new home.
He works round kindly on a soft rein, happily jumping round a variety of fences, loves hacking out and been good to jump on bareback for a play.
I see him making a wonderful all rounder with some more mileage.
we understand market it poor right now so price drop is no reflection of this cool horse. Ph 0279215381 to chat more. Reasonable offers considered to get him into the right home.
Bob Marlie
6yo 15.2 (guesstimate) chestnut TB by El Hermano.
Has been off the track for a while now; originally retired & was used at the track as a ridden baby sitter. He came to us late January and did a bit of retraining & then was spelled for a few months just to let down and gain some condition.
Bob has the sweetest nature. No vices on the ground, floats well straight and angle, trucks.
Very friendly to catch, excellent with his feet. Will stand tied for hours being groomed.
Very relaxed in the walk, happy to mooch around on the buckle, own engine in trot and canter.
Goes over poles and working on small jumps.
Excellent to bring in and out of work.
Bob enjoys hacking is brave through puddles and takes on uneven footing confidently. Great on long rein walking out.
Happy to be paddocked with mares/geldings & even our draft colt.
Very quiet and easy going but obviously a relatively green off the track thoroughbred so does need a confident rider to keep getting the best out of him.
Will not be sold to a kid or go to a home where he will be alone.
Darci, 8yo TB gelding by Darci Brahma.
Home measured at 15.3hh, great doer and has excellent feet.
Darci does everything a green OTTB should. He is good to catch, tie, wash, float (straight load and arrived on angle truck), brush for hours, stand around, loves ear scratches and doesn’t mind the bustle of our lesson program around him. He’s quiet, not a busy type on the ground.
Under saddle Darci has all the basic schooling, jump on and go even when in inconsistent work. Both canter leads no problem. Has popped around some small jumps with fill. Happy bareback. Was good to hack out and will only get better. He has never once bucked, bolted, reared, or even acted like he could. Mostly push along. The only thing left for him is to go to a training show. If he doesn’t find a home we’ll take him out and he will reappear with a price tag.
For now Darci is free to the right rider. He’s an easy going project, but still needs someone confident as he’s green. Not a kids horse, nervous adult returning to riding mount, if you want him as a trekking horse or a competition mount you’re going to need to be confident and experienced to show him how it’s done. But he’s super straightforward, if you know green horses he will be a great partner.
Darci has a parrot mouth which doesnt impact him, our vets recommended dentals every 6 months. This may improve to annual dentals in time. He is up to date currently. Currently barefoot, may appreciate shoes if in full work. Not a straight mover but not awful, would suit low level showing.
